This is a quick overview of the documentation that comes with Charon. The main file is "Charon Readme 0.9.9". Read this file if you've never used Charon before.
If you are already familiar with Charon, then you can probably make do with just reading the "What's New in Charon?" file. This file describes some of the changes made in Charon since the last public release; you might want to read it even if you're new to Charon, after reading the main Readme file descrive above.
If you're an Obolus user, it is important to read the "Important for Obolus Users" file. The main thing to be aware of, is that Charon's "outbound" folder now is the same as that of Obolus.
Among the new things in Charon, is AppleScript support. Charon is now fully scriptable. Please refer to the sample scripts provided with Charon. For information about Charon's properties, use the "Open Dictionary…" command in the "File" menu of the Script Editor.
An excellent guide to setting up Charon with Alice has been written by Eric Hoffman. It is included in the Alice package, and may be worthwile reading for those who don't use Alice too. Eric is updating his documentation to be in sync with this latest release.
Finally, I have also included the documentation of the beta versions that went out. I hope I've covered all the important information in the regular docs, so you shouldn't have to read these; they do however contain a lot of interesting things.
